I seek to learn Bhakti Yoga and practice it daily, as I think it is a very beautiful way to show love for the Divine.
But I’m having some trouble getting started…
How should someone choose their form of God?
Are there any hymns, mantras, offerings, etc. you would recommend?
Thank you so much.
I have recently changed my faith from being a Christian (which is what my mom was brought up as, and is trying to bring me up as) to being Kabbalah. I do not agree with Christian beliefs as much as I know I should to be a member of that church. I agree much more with the teachings and beliefs of Kabbalah. The problem is, my mom thinks I am only doing this to get out of going to church, so I can “sleep in” or whatever. Which is not the case. And when I try to argue my side of it, she cuts me off, or doesn’t listen to what I say. Or ridicules me for my arguments. I am getting really tired of it, and it is making me lose respect for my mother. The problem is, I am only 14 and I know that I have to listen to her and go to church until I am 18. I just can’t stand it anymore, honestly. I am getting fed up with the whole Catholic church, after learning many things that they have done, present day to history. I’ve tried every argument I can possibly think of, but with no avail. Please help!
Look…. I’m not asking you to tell me that my religion is wrong, or what I believe is wrong, and trying to convince me otherwise. This is exactly why I am trying to get out of this religion. You believe that you are the best, and that everyone else has to believe what you do, and that I am wrong for what I believe. Yeah, all religions want more members, try to convince people to join theirs, but the Catholic church really goes above and beyond with brainwashing people and harassing people to become their religion. Thanks a lot for reinforcing my decision.
Oh dear God people…. really? Now I’m going to hell for not believing what my mother does. I’m not a bad person, I do believe in God, maybe you should do some research on the religion then come back to me and tell me what it’s really about. Hmmm? It is not a “fashion religion”, why, Christianity could be called a fashion religion, any religion could depending if you flaunt what religion you are, show it off, feel better than other people because you are that religion. This is getting ridiculous.
What does the Mayan Calendar have to do with this? What cosmic events are people talking about on that day? Why is it specifically Dec 21, 2012?
Some practice strange religions like Kabbalah or Scientology while others claim to be atheists or think of themselves as divine. But they all have one thing in common they are servants of Satan and not God and have sold their souls in order to get where they are in this life. Do you feel all of them are like this or just the vast majority of them?
according to some jewish the kabbah center and bnei baruch aren’t true kabbalist center why? for example kabbalah center use things like red string of rachel and kabbalah bnei baruch teaches the kabbalah through rav laitman, in the past I have heard of rabbi david cooper, ariel kaplan I don’t know if you know david cooper and the rest of people that I mention, like rav michael laitman, Michael Berg or something like that, are they wrong?
What are the requirements? does it have to be braided? does it have to be blessed, and if so, what is the prayer?
all i know is that it has to be red. Im studying Kabbalah right now and i cant find much on the bracelet, only stuff about the evil eye, which the bracelet protects against. okay thanks!
Ive seen a few with Hamsa’s on them and stars of david. i like the hamsa’s.
and wow thanks for the stupid answer.
Thank you bloody marry! i dont let their comments affect me. <333
thanks allon… im not even sure if i want to be kabbalaist or anything, im not jewish im catholic, but the laws of kabbalah seem to apply to my religion as well. im not a strict catholic at all (im like, agnostic, catholic, etc), but i like what kabbalah teaches, and its teaching of god the creator is compatible with my beliefs on jesus and what not. anyway, thanks for the 2 answers, i haven’t tied the string but i have purchased a hamsa necklace to help protect against the evil eye. much love
